We've now resolved the incident.
The issue appears to have been external to the University and our Telecoms provider have now resolved the incident. We will continue to monitor the situation over the next couple of days to ensure there are no further issues.

We are experiencing intermittent issues with incoming calls where the caller may be unable to be heard. Where we have then phoned that number back, the call is able to be connected as normal. This is having a particular impact on Enquiries and Clearing currently, but is also reported to be affecting other areas within the University.
We are currently investigating this and liaising with our Telecoms Service providers, as it appears to be an issue external to the University, and which is also reported to be affecting other local businesses.
Should you experience any issues of this nature, please log a ticket via the Help4U Self Service Portal and quote '2008-0580 Telephony issues'. If you can provide details of the telephone numbers concerned and time of the call, this would be useful in allowing us to trace the calls and aid in the investigation.
