Our 3rd Party vendor have now confirmed that this incident was a Global DNS issue with Blackboard Learn, which has now been resolved.

Users appear to be able to access My Dundee again without the requirement to be connected to the VPN.
We will continue to monitor the situation and post updates here as required.
We have received reports that some users have been unable to access My Dundee when off campus. Users on campus are not affected. From some investigation carried out it seems that if users connect to the VPN they are then able to access My Dundee.
