NHS Estates have now restored power and the equipment is back online.

We have been informed by NHS that the main power supply to University network cabinets will be reinstated at lunch time today, meaning the emergency power supply was not installed. When we have been informed that power has been restored we will post further updates here.

NHS Estates have advised that their electricians will be onsite this afternoon to provide a temporary power solution to restore WiFi coverage to Level 5 corridors A & B, and the remaining MSRU wireless access points. We still await an update from NHS regarding the restoration of power to University network cabinets on Level 7.

NHS Estates & Buildings have advised that one of the main power cables feeding the lab blocks has been affected by water ingress. The third party supplier have quoted a week to procure and replace the cable. Any progress will be posted here, when we receive updates from our NHS colleagues.

A power cut has affected the network equipment servicing the Lab Blocks on level 5 and 7 within Ninewells. NHS Estates and Building are aware and working to restore power as quickly as possible. Please note that this will affect hard wired network connections as well as access to Eduroam in these areas.
