We’ve successfully applied updates to several nodes in the HPC system, which were tested by users in Life Sciences. Testing went well, and we’re now working to roll out the same upgrades to the rest of the cluster over the coming weeks.

However, we are still experiencing some issues with the system. Users may notice slow performance when accessing the filesystem or have trouble starting interactive sessions on compute nodes.

We’ll share another update next week.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to fully restore the service.

We are continuing to experience issues with the High-Performance Computing (HPC) system. Users may encounter slow filesystem performance and difficulties starting interactive sessions on compute nodes. Our Research Computing engineering team is actively investigating the root cause and is currently undertaking a series of targeted system upgrades that they hope will resolve the problem. We expect to provide a further update towards the end of this week.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work to restore full functionality.

We are continuing to experience ongoing issues affecting the High-Performance Computing (HPC) system. Users may encounter slow filesystem performance and difficulties when initiating interactive sessions on compute nodes.

At this time, no progress has been made toward identifying a resolution. Our Research Computing engineering team is actively investigating the root cause, and we will provide further updates as new information becomes available.

We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue.
