Temporary Performance Issues - SonicWall VPN

We've now resolved the incident.

If you have not rebooted your device since the outage yesterday, you will need to do this before you attempt to reconnect. If you lost access to your H: and S: drives yesterday you may need to reconnect your drives when you first connect via the VPN. To do this, either search for 'reconnect my drives' in your search bar or you can launch it via AppsAnywhere (myapps.dundee.ac.uk).

Unfortunately the reboot was unsuccessful and we are still experiencing stability issues with the SonicWall VPN service.

We will continue to investigate as a matter of urgency until the matter is resolved.

We will be rebooting our SonicWall VPN server this evening (12/05) at 6pm. The service will be unavailable for up to 15 minutes.

Please make sure that you are not connected at this time as the reboot will result in your losing your connection.

We are aware of an issue that is currently affecting the use of the VPN. Users may find that after connecting, certain tasks as well as home and shared drives are not available at this time. Whilst other users, may not be able to connect to the VPN at all.

We are currently investigating as a matter of urgency and appreciate the pressing need to have this service working as quickly as possible.
