We've had reports that some users are experiencing issues relating to Outlook email on certain devices.

This issue arose following changes to accept only Modern Authentication forced on us by Microsoft. Through investigation, we've discovered that devices using depreciated legacy authentication are experiencing problems viewing or sending mail via Outlook.

To resolve this issue we advise the following:

  • Go to mail account then select Account Settings and re enter your password
  • If that does not work you should delete and re add your account. On mobile this will need the Intune management profile removed and the device re enrolled in company portal.
  • If both above steps do not work then it may be the mail application on the device does not support modern authentication. In this case we recommend using Outlook client for the device.
