Underway

The work is underway. We'll keep you updated on our progress.

Scheduled

We’re migrating a key Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) from the current Life Sciences distribution switches to the Core switches, during which time services for Life Science AD account users connected to eduroam wireless will be disrupted and unavailable.

The VLAN migration will only affect Life Sciences AD account users connected via Eduroam wireless from communicating with the Life Sciences datacentre, i.e. servers, data shares, files, etc.. This migration will NOT affect anyone connected with a wired connection or via VPN.

This change is part of the preparation work for the network migration project for the network segment containing Life Sciences.

It is recommended that during the migration, Life Sciences users refrain from connection via Eduroam wireless to avoid impact of experience.

While we don't expect any issues, sometimes unexpected things happen. We'll update this post with progress.
